Vladislav Stasin — a serviceman of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, commander of a separate reconnaissance platoon of the 95th Regiment.

He represented St. Petersburg at the “Russian Bodybuilding Cup,” which was held in occupied Mariupol.
He has been engaged in powerlifting for more than 15 years, is a champion of St. Petersburg and a prize-winner of Europe. At the competitions in Mariupol he won silver in the category “Classic Bodybuilding: Masters.”

According to him, he came to the competitions straight from the front. He trained in his free time at the place of deployment (1–1.5 hours), because “they did not let us into the city.” Permission for the preparation was given by the commander of the 95th Regiment.

Stasin himself states: “We are currently fighting on a very difficult direction. And there is a lot of work for us there. It is hard. But we know what we are fighting for. We are working for our common Victory. Victory will be ours — the enemy will be crushed and overthrown.”

Participation in propagandistic sports in the occupied city is used by the Russian side to create a picture of “normal life” and the “restoration” of Mariupol, while simultaneously demonstrating the “strength” of the occupation troops.
